John Sharbrough is an attorney located in Mobile, Alabama whose practice is nationwide in scope and concentrated in the area of complex commercial and consumer litigation. He has a solid background and expertise in diverse areas of the law including, class actions, antitrust, bankruptcy litigation, consumer fraud, oil & gas, fair debt collection practices, mass torts, lender liability, securities fraud, predatory lending and federal criminal defense.
Because of his complex litigation experience and reputation, John has been appointed by several courts to serve in leadership positions including: Special Master in Fletcher v. Brooke Group, a part of the national tobacco litigation; Liaison Counsel for Indirect Purchasers in the Vitamins Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1285; and Lead Counsel for Alabama Plaintiffs in Lease Oil Antitrust Litigation,MDL 1206. This federal court experience is particularly valuable at this time when federal courts are becoming the most common venue for complex commercial litigation.
John has an extensive background as trial counsel in complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts. He recently expanded his practice to include federal criminal defense.
While known for his disarming personality, John believes the best results are realized only when you prepare for trial.
